Anzac Day is quickly approaching and the new Australian Ambassador Mr Gerald Thomson is looking forward to meeting lots of you at the celebrations this year 🙂 The ANZAC ceremony will be held at 11am on the 25th at Kviberg cemetery, followed by the reception at Palmhuset i Trädgårdsföreningen.

The Mirrabooka dinner, which the Australian Ambassador will be attending, will be at Brasserie Lipp on the Avenue again (Kungsportsavenyn 8). We will start with drinks at 6 followed by dinner at 6.30.

Like previous years, we will have to pre-order our food, so please take a look at the menu on the Brasserie website http://brasserielipp.se/a-la-carte/english/
and let either Tina Mertens or me know what you would like to order by Monday the 22nd of April.

Anzac Cup will be held at 29:th of april at Täby Galopp. First race at 12.45, The Anzac Cup between 14.00-14.30.
Anzac guests have free entry to the track, just say ANZAC Cup in the gate.

The New Zealand Embassy would like to extend a cordial invitation to you and your families to attend the 2012 ANZAC Day ceremonies in the Gothenburg region on Wednesday 25 April.

Kviberg Cemetery, Gothenburg

The New Zealand Embassy together with the Australian Embassy will hold the main ANZAC Day ceremony as usual at the Commonwealth War Graves Section at Kviberg Cemetery in Gothenburg at 1100 hrs. Following the ceremony there will be a reception at Palmhuset, Trädgårdsföreningen (entrance via Slussgatan or Nya Allén).

Öckerö Gamla Kyrka

A commemoration ceremony will be held at Öckerö Gamla Kyrka churchyard, where New Zealand airman Sgt John Williams, RNZAF, is buried. The ceremony will start at 1600 hrs
